A competitive eating contest was held in Kansas City yesterday. A crowd of 150 people watched Erik “the Red” Denmark down 24 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. He is a qualifier for the annual Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island in New York.

I hope he does well, is he from KC? It would be great to see a hometown boy in the line up. The current title is 59.5 HDB’s (hot dogs and buns) in 12 minutes. He’s going to have to up it to make it.
