Hey man, you been eating any cassava over there? It’s a type of root which you boil up until really soft then fry – the deeper the better. We get it from little indian shops on victoria street so i assume its popular in india… Its so good though!!
It is popular, and really nice here. Fried is the way to go absolutely but I keep seeing it here just boiled and served with a fish curry. I’ll see if I can chat to some locals and find a traditional recipe.
